Fabrication of Fe-based ribbon with controlled permeability by Joule heating under tensile stress

چکیده
We prepared an Fe-based ribbon with controlled permeability and low magnetic loss by Continuous Stress-Annealing by Joule Heating (CSA-JH) method. The shortest annealing time necessary for the obtaining of the ribbons with completely developed anisotropy was 1 sec, but in order to obtain the sufficiently crystallized ribbons with small saturation magnetostriction it is required to perform annealing longer than 2 sec. A toroidal core was prepared from a long ribbon with controlled permeability and small saturation magnetostriction, and the magnetic loss and relative permeability of the core were evaluated in the frequency range of 0.1 3 MHz. The permeability was kept constant up to 2 MHz, and the magnetic loss is lower than that for other types of core with a similar permeability value. These results suggest that the CSA-JH method is a promising method for realizing an Fe-based core with excellent magnetic properties. © 2008 Elsevier B.V. Soft magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Fe73B7Si16Nb3Cu1 alloy after rapid heating under tensile stress
Amorphous Fe73B7Si16Nb3Cu1 ribbon was crystallized rapidly by electric current heating under simultaneously applied tensile stress along the ribbon axis. As a result, strong transverse magnetic anisotropy was induced in the ribbon. Dynamic magnetic properties of the ribbons rapidly heated either under the tensile stress or without tensile stress were measured using toroidal cores. Optimal elect...
متن کاملEffect of Mechanical Stresses in Rapidly Heated Fe73Cu1Nb3Si16B7 Ribbon Arising During the Ring Core Formation on Their Magnetic Properties
The influence of winding-induced mechanical stresses on the magnetic anisotropy and core loss in toroidal cores made of Fe73Cu1Nb3Si16B7 ribbon is studied. The ribbon for the cores was rapidly pre-heated under tensile stress up to 120 MPa. It was found that magnetic characteristics of the material (magnetic anisotropy energy and the core loss) can be controlled by varying the tensile stress dur...
